Marc Fauconnier is co-founder and CEO of FamousGrey. After a few years in market research earlier in his career, Marc switched to the advertising business in the early ’90s. As a commercial with a strong analytical background, Marc occupied several management positions in international agencies such as Y&R and BBDO.
In 1997, Marc founded LG&F, later rebranded as Famous. In 2016, Famous joined the Grey network. Famous was elected “agency of the year” several times in Belgium and won numerous Lions and even a Grand Prix in Cannes.
Marc considers himself a hands-on CEO, who still is actively involved in the strategic and creative processes for most of the agency’s clients.
Peter Ampe has a unique track record that includes 41 Cannes Lions and 12 Effie Awards. This mix of creativity and efficiency is a result of Peter’s preference for ideas that tap into the real world and become part of people’s daily lives.
Peter lived and worked in a number of other contexts before joining the world of advertising. He began his career as a language teacher for political refugees. Later, he became a journalist. At the age of 29, he joined the ad world, with a mission to make it a more authentic space.
In 2016, Peter was honored with a Special Award for creative leadership that came with the turnover he achieved at DDB Brussels. But it’s not how to win awards that keeps him awake at night. It’s how to keep in touch with the real world and have an impact on it.
In 2018, Peter co-authored Fame&Frame, a model combining creative magic and commercial logic, for FamousGrey. He’s also the author of The Mind Works Best at Running Speed, published by Borgerhoff & Lamberigts, 2016.
After a few years at These Days, Jonathan Detavernier, together with Marc Fauconnier, set up the interactive agency SNOW in 2005, a division of the then-LG&F group. In 2008, SNOW merged with the other LG&F sister companies to form FAMOUS. Today, Jonathan Detavernier is Strategic Partner at FamousGrey. Jonathan and his team have won numerous national and international awards. As an interactive expert, Jonathan is a much-sought-after member of the jury. In recent years, he has been a member of the jury of prestigious international advertising festivals such as Cannes, eurobest, the Dutch SpinAwards, and the Belgian CCB awards.
Jonathan has experience in budget management in sectors such as telecom, automotive, FMCG, banking, and government.
